What are the most effective methods to reduce body fat by diet?

If you're a woman, you probably won't go down on body fat percentage easily. Women hover in between 18-20% body fat, and it is going to take some drastic dietary changes and a lot of cardio and weight training to change that.
If you're a man, things might be easier for you because men naturally have a higher muscle mass and less fat.

From personal experience, my body fat has been 17-19% for at least 2-3 years. Nothing I've ever done has changed it drastically, and my body hangs on to fat where it pleases (regardless of wherever I'd like for that fat to be in order to achieve the ever-coveted "hourglass" body type). There's no such thing as losing belly fat only, for example. Just as your body puts on weight in a way specific to you, it loses weight in a specific way too.
It's important to be healthy with your fitness, and not aim for a body fat percentage (unless you're getting out of the obese range) or BMI.
Hope that helps! In the meantime, there’s a FREE guide that shows you the best diets based on your lifestyle right here:
It’s an easy guide packed with great info. That should help, too.
