CBN Resumes Sales of Dollars to Bureau De Change

The Central Bank of Nigeria resumes dollar sales to bureaux de change today, seven months after it stopped the practice.

Last January because of what it called dollar scarcity and abuse of operating guidelines.

President, Association of Bureau de Change Operators of Nigeria Aminu Gwadabe, said nearly 3, 000 BDCN are expected to access the dollar today.

Meanwhile, the naira plunged to N400 against the dollar at the parallel market on Thursday as shortage of foreign exchange continued to have negative effects on economic activities in the country.
